Cahoots Workshop

@cahoots.nz

The community space exclusively for women and gender diverse folks where we empower ourselves through building, fixing and making. www.cahoots.nz

Reason 06 why you should set up a recurring donation to Cahoots: Our community! You asked to see some of the things people are doing in the space, so here's a quick tour of what's going on today!

Set up a recurring donation today! Reason 05 why you should: Tax credits, charity, and transparency! We're a registered charity and all donations are eligible for tax credits.  It costs around $12,500 per month to operate.  You can see how far we've got towards our goal at cahoots.nz/donate

Set up a recurring donation today to support Cahoots!  Reason 04 why you should: Spaces like this are how we fight back!  This is a space that builds connection and unity particularly between trans folks and cis women, at a time when various forces are working to create division and infighting.

Cahoots Workshop's biggest single expense is paying our wonderful workshop manager Alis.  It's also our most essential cost, because she keeps everything safe, functional, and looks after our amazing community!  That's today's reason you should donate to support Cahoots! cahoots.nz/donate

Reason 02 that you should donate to Cahoots!  Cahoots Tradies will change what a construction company looks like, employing women and trans tradies, providing apprenticeships, and fixing your whare!

We're going to give you a reason every day in August why you should donate to support Cahoots!  Thirty-one reasons coming your way!  Our mahi is important, and it's expensive, so please support us with your recurring donation at www.cahoots.nz/donate

Some photos of our famous picture framing class!  These sell out quickly but there are some spaces available right now on our website!  Go to workshop.cahoots.nz to book!

We've recently published a report on the state of gender equity in trades in Aotearoa - it's not good.  The good news is Cahoots is working hard to make real change in this space.  We're launching our strategy on 3rd July, read more at docs.cahoots.nz

Cahoots is a space where trans folks and cis women come together to crease a safe, empowering space.  We're proud of what we are achieving here and we're proud to oppose the legislation (definitions of woman and man) that is currently at select committee.  Read at docs.cahoots.nz

See you at Aro Fair and Out in the City this weekend 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜 we’ll be raising money for Te Pāti Kākāriki 💚 and for Cahoots Workshop - Aotearoa’s first practical workshop exclusively for wāhine and gender minorities!
