Imri gets a sense of what she means. And if it is Osha, he feels guilt pit in his stomach. He embraces her tighter, placing a kiss tenderly on her forehead again. “…perhaps somethings don’t want to be found.” He stops. Mae deserves the truth. “Can we talk later? Not now, though. You need rest.”

He is distracted by holding Mae against himself. “Mm, think so.” He murmurs. Mae seems defeated though. There’s a nagging feeling that keeps reminding him. “Maybe I can go with you next time? Help with…whatever you’re after?” Imri hopes he’s proved she can trust him, but he’s not so sure he has.

"Yes, I know." Safe to say, her search wasn't really successful. It shows in the way her body slumps against him in his arms; how her tough-girl facade seems to crumble away almost immediatly. Next time maybe. "You're okay though, right?"

He rests his chin on top her head, frowning slightly. He doesn’t believe it’s that simple, not exactly, but he doesn’t push. “Oh ok.” The warmth of her in his arms helps him relax. He takes her word even though he isn’t sure he believes it. “If you need anything, I can always help my girl out.”

"I might just be." She melts into the embrace immediately, her head coming to rest against his chest. Arms sliding around his waist as she does. "I was... looking for something." Not a lie, not the truth.

“Let’s hope you’re feeling generous then.” He smiles playfully. Drawing her close, his arms both wrap around her. “…because I am.” He whispers, kissing her forehead. It’s gentle, he’s happy to see her, and isn’t in a rush. “But where’ve you been, my Mae Mae? Is everything alright?”

"Any other answer would have been disappointing. You get a hug; maybe even a kiss if I'm feeling generous enough."
