Rosales Sisters’ Scholarship (Achievement in Philanthropy), founded by six daughters of Mexican immigrants, supports first-generation students in pursuing higher education. Inspired by their own journeys, the sisters have awarded over $160,000 in scholarships and provide vital programs to students.

People’s Collective for Environmental Justice (Achievement in Environmental Justice) is a community-centered nonprofit advancing environmental justice in CA’s Inland Empire. It addresses systemic pollution and environmental racism impacting frontline communities through grassroots organizing.

Claudette A. Zepeda (Achievement in Culinary Arts) is an award-winning San Diego–based chef known for her bold, ingredient-driven approach to regional Mexican cuisine and her deep respect for its cultural heritage. She has appeared on major cooking competitions and leads Chispa Hospitality.

Tamara Romo Gisiger (Achievement in Advocacy) is an advocate whose work highlights the overlooked history of Mexican Repatriation during the Great Depression. She helped raise awareness of this mass deportation and is now involved in efforts to build a memorial in L.A. honoring those affected.

Eli PaintedCrow (Achievement in Human Rights), of Yaqui and Maya descent, is a human rights advocate whose life reflects resilience, from overcoming early hardship to serving 22 years in the Army. A social worker and counselor, she champions women’s empowerment and veterans’ voices.

L.A. TACO (Achievement in Journalism & Media) is an independent Los Angeles–based media company covering news, food, and culture while amplifying underrepresented communities. Its impactful journalism, including coverage of immigration raids, has influenced national conversations and policy.

David Huerta (Achievement in Human Rights) is the President of SEIU California and SEIU-United Service Workers West, known for advancing workers’ rights and advocating for immigrant communities. He led major labor efforts like Justice for Janitors and helped pass protections against wage theft.

Sandra R. Hernández, MD (Achievement in Health & Science) is President & CEO of the CA Health Care Foundation, which works to improve health care access for all Californians. Was formerly a public health director for the City & County of San Francisco and longtime physician at S.F. General Hospital.

Lupe Gallegos-Diaz (Achievement in Higher Education) is the Director of the UC Berkeley Chicanx Latinx Student Development Office, a lecturer in the Chicanx Latinx Studies Program/Ethnic Studies Department, and co-founder of the UCB Latinx and the Environment program.

Lupe De La Cruz (Achievement in Business) is V.P. of Government Affairs and Corporate Citizenship at PepsiCo, where he leads public policy and Latino outreach across the western U.S. He has built a career in advocacy, community engagement, and remains active in civic leadership.
