This is only included because if I had to witness it SO DO YOU. Autonomous woohoo is something else. Happy Winterfest, Zoey, I hope you enjoyed your Crisponix w/ Deluxe Crisper.
After that, it was off into the garden for the annual (I've just decided now) Acres family portrait.
This is the only picture I have to show how chaotic this family was when opening gifts. I don't know what news Fergus is breaking to Zoey in the corner but it looks good.
Robbie: How's social bunny going, Aunt Zo? Zoey: Half these buttons still don't make any sense, look, what does this me-me mean? Robbie: do you mean meme?
Finally, they arrived and a three-course dinner was on the table. Forest, who celebrated a birthday off-screen after the kicking incident, is now a child. C: How's school, Forest? F: Good! I joined every sports they have! Fergus is too busy eating to comment, he hasn't had home cooking in ages.
Big distractions (in the form of grandad) were in place to distract the toddler from the pile of presents.
Unsurprisingly, Winterfest Day started with Cora in the kitchen. The other half of the Acres clan was due over for lunch, so an early start was necessary. (Especially with the way lag was going.)
At home, Cora was making the most of the toddler-free time to put up the Winterfest decorations (and a creepy snowman she found). C: What do you think, dear, does it look alright? K: Lovely and festive. Say - I can think of another way we might spend some of this alone time *eyebrow waggle*
Alexis: Well...okay. I'll go check it out first then and I'll be able to show him all the cool stuff when he's bigger. CAN WE DO PRESENTS NOW!? I'd like everyone to know that someone bought Caelif a 'Banana Bank Heist Model Van', and Zoey wasn't impressed. (She is a lawyer after all.)
A: SPEAKING OF FORESTS, I go to camp SOON and I'm almost done getting my supplies. Mr. Hilmer says 'a scout prepared is a scout alive!' Anya: I don't love that saying.
Z: So how has everything been going at the lab? [Imagine a very complicated explanation of how Anya and Minkz are saving the world one Eco-innovation at a time] A: -and that'll just improve everything really, because once the forest is looking better that'll make all the difference.
Minkz: Come on everyone, Caelif and I are hungry! Note: thank you to my Sims game which immediately entered a strange loop of Minkz and Caelif sitting down, getting up, sitting down, getting up, and ultimately never sitting at my lovely set table.
Cora: Are you excited, Cae, you'll see your Daddy today! Zoey: Mom, he's going to get cereal everywhere if he gets too excited. Caelif: SISSY *throws fruit loops immediately*

Fergus: I think that might be our cue to go, though. Thanks Mom. Cora: Oh any time, drop him off tomorrow if you want, Zoey refuses to let me install a daycare mod so Caelif can start skilling early. Cora: Where do you think you're going? Caelif: follows where cousin goes
