Last week some of the Guides made pronoun badges. One of our leaders has to leave, because how can she stay in Guiding who have kicked out trans girls when her daughter is trans, and some of the older ones want to write to GGUK to complain. We are doing some other work around equalities too.

In 2010, Girlguiding UK turned 100. I set myself a challenge to visit 100 Scottish Islands, however long it took me. It is 2026. My current unit, 1st Callander Guides, is celebrating its centenary this month, and today I made it to island 100. @girlguidingscot.bsky.social

The Guides had a great time at Stirring up Stirling today, with girls from all over Girlguiding Forth Valley Temporary tattoos were popular, and they enjoyed rolling down King’s Knot, but the Taylor Swift tribute finale was pretty impressive too @girlguidingscot.bsky.social
Guides and Rangers went rafting building and did the leap of faith yesterday. So proud of them all for giving things a go even if they are out of their comfort zone. 10yo Guides telling the (15-18yo) Rangers how to build a raft was fabulous- no lack of confidence there.
A night at St Andrews Church, tending to our little free library and pallet planter. We did some weeding too. I think some new upcycling will be needed next year as the pallet is getting more and more wobbly!
💚 It’s Mental Health Awareness Week This year’s theme for 2026 is Action, focusing on the positive steps we can all take to support wellbeing and connection. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #MHAW2026 #action #GirlguidingCymru #wellbeing #MentalHealthMatters
Today's the start of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek The 2026 theme is 'Action'. While awareness is vital, real change comes when we take action. We’ve come a long way on mental health, but we can’t risk going backwards. There’s still much we can do to prevent people becoming unwell in the first place.
