I feel like people who intentionally misunderstand me for the purpose of shifting the context of a conversation to avoid having to concede that they were wrong or misunderstood a situation are childish, unserious, and intellectually incurious.

There is a specific brand of white woman who says “for sure (pronounced fer shur)” in a dismissively condescending way. I don’t fuck with her one bit.

Sometimes I think I take having empathy for granted.

When things feel hopeless, it’s even more important to find the hope. This is hope.
