it’s two different dogs actually

I don’t care that the Dodger are good. I care they my friend who grew up a Yankee fan and who started cheering for the Dodgers in the past decade is going to have fun. And to be clear that makes me mad. Because sports fandom is bad for your soul.

I think the schadenfreude you are seeing from Utah fans at Whittingham is for emotional reasons — going to another school and leaving on awkward terms with Utah feeling at odds with his legacy — but I think it’s vindication by many who spent years arguing he was holding back Utah, and now see this.

@shutdownfullcast.bsky.social re: Kyle Whittingham. He left Utah and didn’t take Utah with him, because his legacy at Utah was 20 years of culture. When he left the culture stayed (why Scalley was the HCIW). He’s not a scheme guy. Whitt’s method needs time. ps: no faith in offense will not go away

Just a friendly reminder that plague is prevalent, including in the western United States (see, prairie dogs), with multiple cases annually. It is also highly treatable and, yes, lab acquired infections (incl. fatal cases) have happened over the years, including e.g., UChicago.

You guys want to hear a short but adorable story that happened right in front of me at the baggage claim in NYC yesterday? I wasn't part of it and there are bits I didn't catch but holy crap, I can't stop thinking about it.

I got an herb and epsom salt bath soak at the farmers market today. I read the ingredients. This is a brine recipe. I’m becoming juicier as we speak.

Hey everyone remember the 2013-2018 Pac-12 that was really good top to bottom and anybody could beat anybody every week but nobody was good enough to win a really big game? I think that’s your current era SEC.

Penn State isn’t a bad team right now they just need to find a head coach who fits their identity and can win 11-12 games a year like clockwork
