Man, they really had to hack apart Flight Deck to get the new trains to work 😅

Fan of Waterloo's rapid transit project, ION (#wrLRT), but I tweet train, theme park, and bicycling adventures, too. Unabashed gadgetbahn enthusiast. 🏳️🌈🐾🇨🇦
Frederick St. Bridge Replacement Progress, Kitchener ON 🇨🇦 (Part of future Hwy 7 project)
Yesterday I drove the 407 ETR from Burlington to Hwy 400 in the morning, and then in reverse in the afternoon. This was the fare. This is not really acceptable
For some reason Paramount/Premier disabled the drifting function on the Italian Job coasters before they opened. Here’s how it worked - a pin at the front, and two shocks at the back. The car body has four rollers at the back in an arc shape. A lash plate disables this.
Sledge Hammer waiting on new hydraulic pumps. So excited!
Rode Line 5 (Eglinton Crosstown) the other day, twice at two different times. Both trips in ATO, and maxed out at 70 km/h consistently between stations. I thought it was supposed to do 80 km/h?
130 minutes 😵💫 Figured Wonderland would have made some improvements in the off season to improve capacity but it’s gotten even worse.
London, Ontario’s new BRT. I can’t figure out why in both this photo and real life it looks like a rendering
Absolutely fuck everyone with aftermarket headlights that are too bright. I’m not talking about new cars, I’m talking about buddy in the busted up Elantra driving around with flickering shitty cheap Canadian Tire lights blasting 10k+ Lumen Please fill out this survey: tc.canada.ca/en/corporate...

New Hwy 7 construction in Kitchener has started, but did it really require a swath of clearcut several hundred metres wide? The area has been decimated. newhighway7.ca/wp-content/u...
One hopes images like this, when paired with the knowledge that everything we burn ends up in that tiny slice of gasses, would help contextualize why we need to move away from energy sources we set on fire. One hopes. Climate communicators should make some hay of this.
I don't remember seeing an image of Earth before that captures the (thin, fragile, tiny layer of) atmosphere so clearly. I mean, look at that.
Why is there a (Montreal, Quebec) exo bus in Orangeville, Ontario?!
Is this clear cutting work a Metrolinx/GO thing? Victoria St. Bridge in Kitchener
The assumption in Toronto seems to be that all TTC alerts and signage are only focused on those who live and breathe it daily. This message is so meaningless. Would it kill them to have a map showing a visual of where the closure is?
The new REM branch A4 to Deux Montagnes is an absolute model for how transit should operate. Frequent and fast, it ramps up to 95 km/h steady between virtually every station, holds it the whole time and then rapidly decelerates. It’s not timid and it’s so good. 10/10.
