A7: it’s usually the grant of my wallet 🤣 BUT last year I applied for our state library organization @vaasl.bsky.social AASL presentation grant and I actually got it! I never thought to look for more funding! Maybe I should! #tlskychat

A4: I always have a book wishlist, items “wishlist” and goals I have for the library. That way if the right thing pops up on my radar I am ready to apply, justify, beg, and write a grant for those things. You know if someone is just handing out 💰! #tlskychat

A3: our district loves policies lol! For grants if it is more than 3k we need to go through our grants office. I have a wishlist that I don’t advertise much but I also try to have a donors choose project when possible. #tlskychat

A1: mostly through word of mouth. If someone talks about getting a grant, or writing a grant, my ears always perk up! Our district also has a website that lists some but I just discovered that one last week oops! 🙊 #TLSkyChat

A6: I always try to have opportunities for volunteers to join us! I show up to every PTA meeting & let them know the goings-on etc. I get involved in other school wide events & invite the public library to join us for those! I’m always rah rah library as much as possible whenever possible #TLSkyChat

A5: Unsure, maybe some color in bookmarks an impromptu book club? Fun library themed coloring pages. Passive programming isn’t always on the super forefront bc I am teaching on a fixed schedule most of the time. Maybe a guess the # in a jar for a book giveaway. #TLSkyChat

A4: Um I have my hands full but one is 2nd and 3rd penpals with high school students. I have loved collaborating with my secondary librarian colleagues! Very old school, very analog, they are LOVING it! #TLSkyChat
