I did not know about Gaelic football rules or the Mayo curse until a few weeks ago. Heck, as a German who never lived in Ireland, I couldn't have pointed out county Mayo on a map until a few months ago. Went to see the Odyssey last night, excellent cast and very enjoyable. Was/is it true to Homer's epic? Depends which version you've read (how many people can actually say they have read it in it's entirety, word for word?), but you will certainly recognise it. Overall, great show, and worth seeing.

A another person dead after falling from a bonfire, homes destroyed and damaged by out of control fires. Roads melted and enviroment wrecked, air filled with carcinogenic fumes, yet no unionist politician will speak out against these anti-social hate pyres. They need banned, not just regulated.

Ann Widdecombe, 'strong christian values'? Whatever 'values' she held, christian charity, love, respect, were not among them. Amazing how these people are alleged to have allegiance to a dark skinned Palestinian man, while ignoring his teachings, and dehumanising other dark skinned people today.
