So happy to have our first chinook (king) salmon aboard. This 17lb male was reeled in expertly by Dave on his special lure. He was thrilled, and we were very well fed. Thank you Pacific Ocean.

Kayaking in winter in Sitka is a thing. Some perfect days out with the whales. The herring are spawning and there are bubble-netting humpbacks, as well as grey whales in the Sound right now.
Postcards from French Polynesia. Still a paradise. We were thrilled to find intact coral reefs, lots of fish, uncrowded beaches, and a proud thriving Native culture.
So this is Tahiti; Huahine, actually. And yes. Pretty much paradise.

Finally got my Subaru Solterra yesterday. It was shipped on the ferry to Sitka from Juneau. I hadn't actually driven it before and it was a thrill testing the EV acceleration. Saw a whale spout and everything. It must be a sign. Looking forward to reading the mountain of owner manuals.
