The other day I was reading an article that mentioned a well known trans woman. They labeled her a "trans activist" Just goes to show: if you're trans and happen to be in the public eye you're automatically a trans activist.

I've always loved to read. Devoured books as a kid. I own lots of physical books. But... Since I went back to school 95% of my texts are ebooks that I read on my pad. I've found that reading a hard copy of a textbook is a pain. Form factor is off. No built in lookups. No pop-up footnotes. Ugh

When i was a kid, prolly 4th or 5th grade I bought an old army backpack from the Army & Navy surplus store in town with my allowance. I used it to carry my schoolbooks. Only this was the 60s and NOBODY used backpacks for school books. I was a trendsetter.
