Got my Secret Lair and the art is amazing. Also found homes for all the cards. Bulk of it (Lathril, Cultivate, Llanowar, and Path) went in Maralen Finale finally gives me a finisher in Tatyova Coat of Arms puts power in Grub Ritual replaces a Tempest one in Tinybones And Vivi now has a Sol Ring!

For some reason, after I summoned an Ulamog and a Darksteel Colossus at the same time, opponent decided they didn’t want to play anymore. Weird…
Brown and purple are snap picks for me. Blue is initially attractive but makes me a shade uncomfortable as it seems kinda “not free will.” Black would lead to unpleasant expectations; if people know I don’t have to sleep, I’d be expected to do things. Honestly, I could always use $20 so green.

A Carillon is an instrument, basically bells played with a keyboard. They had one in the main chapel at my college, and I thought it would be a very good name for a World of Warcraft priest. Although I misspelled it on the character creation screen, adding an extra I, I liked the name and it stuck.

Realized something from last weekend: If I had a nickel for every time that a friend and I placed in the top 2 of a draft at an SCG despite sitting next to each other and being in the same deck, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s WILD that it happened twice.

I’ve been enjoying SOS draft and I think I’ve been doing well, but the 1st 🏆 had evaded me. Until now. First two picks were a Lute and an Impractical Joke, neither of which made the deck. The Colony was the clear MVP, putting on a ton of early pressure and having flample to close games out.
