Author of cozy, slow burn romances set in Birch Forest Falls, where love, laughter, and Lake superior meet.

Apparently I made a Substack at some point, forgot it existed, and rediscovered it tonight 😂 So I’m finally using it: poems, stories, jokes, and whatever else I feel like writing. If you’re over there too, I’m @carlystory. Come say hi.

Saw a guy at the grocery store wearing a Dunder Mifflin shirt, so I nodded and said, “Paper, huh? That’s a good product.” He looked down then back up at me and replied, “It’s a… television show.” That’s when I remembered why I don’t usually speak to humans.

Had a guy explain to me how transwomen in the bathroom could endanger his children and when I explained that his fear is actually other men, not transwomen, he told me I was probably hyper-emotional because I was about to get my period.

I looked and my last post was one year and four months ago. I took a little break and forgot all about social media and in particular blue sky. Hope everyone’s doing well. Thanks for continuing to follow me in my absence. Catch me up in one paragraph or less. Did I miss anything?

You want three references from my past employers to prove my capability? Fine, then I want three references from your former employees to prove I’m not walking into a shit show.
