The girl doing my hair was talking about going to Warped Tour in 2019. I told her I went in ‘98, when Green Day was still setting their drums on fire, and I became the “okay, grandma” meme.

Bluesky is not for Brands, I know. But if you’re south of Pittsburgh and are looking for portraits of your kid, get in touch. If you’re not, look at my kid! He’s cute as hell.

Classic school portraits at wood and wire studio. Photo of my six year old on a plain gray backdrop, advertising mini sessions that I’m offering at the studio. He is blonde and wearing a striped shirt.

We’re all fine, but a truck didn’t stop at a stop sign and instead just drove right into the side of our van. First time I’ve been in any kind of accident with the kids in the car, thankfully it hit behind the seats so they just got shook around a little.

John walked in while I was fussing with menus on the new camera, and he asked “is that the new one?!” and his face lit up. We do not have a “hiding Amazon deliveries from each other” kind of relationship, he’s just real stoked for me.

I have two kids in two different schools now, and it’s making my morning routine weird. I used to get them both out of the house together, but now I get one out the door at 7 and then like… sit and have coffee for an hour before I have to wake up the other kid.

My grandparents both loved Dolly Parton, they took me and my brother and cousin to Dollywood when we were kids. 80 isn’t a bad run, though, and god knows she did a lot with the time she was given.

It’s our first year wirh a kid at the middle school, and I’m trying to help this dude stay organized but he has eight classes and there are so many notebooks and folders, this bookbag weighs 45 pounds.

Break bad premises, don't accept them. Receive obstacles as problems to solve toward the goal, not reasons to never pursue the goal. Realize there are enough of us to pursue everything, so there are no distractions, and there is no trolley problem. www.the-reframe.com/there-is-no-...

There Is No Trolley Problem

We actually aren't constrained into atrocious premises by thought exercises. Obstacles are a reason to fight, not an excuse to quit. Our friends and neighbors aren't distractions..
