Same. I was in my car at the Ag Campus at MS State. Smashmouth’s “All Star” was blasting on the PA, and I got my shot from a member of the National Guard. I cried. She looked me in the eye and said “this *is* going to end.” When my kids got their jabs? I was inconsolable in a CVS parking lot.

The American insurance system is not set up to handle multiple (unnecessary!) visits for vaccines that are now given at the same time. The schedules of American pediatricians and public health clinics are not set up to handle this. The schedules of American parents are not set up to handle this.

It’s certainly not the most pressing critique of Douthat’s column… …but the central point (“I don’t know who are the good guys and who are the bad guys anymore!”) is a fundamentally ridiculous way to view politics.

Saw the Odyssey in IMAX. I have thoughts. But also my brain is rattled from the muchness. But wow.

When the flag came up on the voting machine to signal that my ballot had been read and counted, my 6 year old shouted “We Voted for America!” I’d like you all to take that energy with you.
