Been trying to turn basically every day into a workday for the past month and that kind of caught up to me over the weekend so there’s a bit of a delay with the coming update which will probably make sense once the comic catches up to what I’m currently working on. Thank u for ur patience

As an aside it’s possible but not guaranteed that the next update will be the last one before I get a website, which would make it more practical to release 2 pages at a time with double the frequency.

For the sake of auditing my own progress a bit, I would say that actual illustration is about 75% of the work of each page, not including scripting and thumbnailing. I currently have pages 3-5 of chapter 3 sitting on the arrangement floor waiting for the last screws to be tightened.

And welcome to chapter 3! Bola finds herself in some moderately warm water. I've made progress on my buffer, pages 59-61 are done and 62-64 are each about halfway done- posting slows, but the work continues! (pp. 55-58)

As always, work is ongoing, and as we approach the end of Chapter 2 I'm giving more thought to what the most effective work schedule may be. Chapter 1 was made in large chunks rather than 4 page batches, giving a period of rumination and a view of the big picture that was beneficial despite...

Oh wow, 150 followers! That was sudden. Here, have a life size Bola hand (ft. my hand and a 5lb chicken to scale) I sketched a bit ago for fun/practice. It's 14 inches long, and 17.5 inches wide splayed out. I also roughed in an outline of her head to better contextualize it.

One of the beauties of post processing is that it lets me play around on the raw sheets with no consequences

50 pages reached, hooray! Only 3 pages this update so we can get back in sync with the intended page turn order next update, which the spread a few pages ago threw off. Odd pages are left pages in chapter 2. (pp. 50-52)

First time posting the new update I forgot to make it a reply, second time bsky put the pages in the wrong order. Third time’s the charm as soon as I get back from the Burger Store. Apologies folks
