A very unintentional theme to my last two pint and books! Both very queer and very grotty to varying degrees. I knew what I was getting into with Paradise Rot, less so Closer. Both very good pieces of writing, but not for the squeamish.

Just sat down and wrote some really nice words for the first time in a really long time. Then I realised they were completely irrelevant to what I was trying to write and deleted it all, but hey, it's nice to know they are still in there somewhere.
Happy 2nd Birthday Harlequin!! Two years ago we re-opened this pub that had been neglected for years by a well known online terf. Now it is a place of love and community (and also great beer and chip butties!!). Two Flints plus Two by Two tap Takeover, and a house band on today as we celebrate 🥳
Nolan's Odyssey is very, very good. There were bits of creative freedom I enjoyed and others that I didn't so much but nothing worth dwelling on. Stand out performances from Samantha Morton and Robert Pattinson imo.
