The worst part about being in the middle is that you have to argue with both sides. The best part is that you don't have AI psychosis, but you also don't fall behind.

I’m the biggest remote work fan, but if I didn’t have a family, I wouldn’t work remotely. I’d travel to tech-centric cities and genuinely network with people. However, with a family, remote work is the best. There’re no other people I’d rather spend my time with.
OpenStory is a really cool product. It's an open-source AI video production platform. You give it a script and it creates a sequence of AI-generated frames (images, motion video, audio) with consistent style across every scene. And btw, it uses the great TanStack Start! github.com/openstory-s...

Dr. Axel Rauschmayer took his blog and JavaScript books off the Web due to AI His income from book sales went from being enough for him to live off to 0. Also the AI crawlers overwhelms his site with traffic What do you think about this situation? It's a tough one for creators
FINALLY! I've been saying this for a while. Most apps would be just fine using React, Vite and TanStack Router/React Router. Sadly, people love to overcomplicate things.
AI is a net negative for open-source. It enables people to spam pull requests, issues and security vulnerabilities. It creates so much burden on contributors that you eventually don't feel like accepting any contributions.
On how I got burnt out by AI and recalibrated. AI is useful technology and it's here to stay. I just hope that the bubble bursts soon and tech returns to a somewhat normal state where things other than AI matter again. catalins.tech/ai-fatigue/
It’s Not the AI, It’s the People
AI isn't the problem. The people showing fake demos and charts for clout and sales are. Why I stepped away from the online world to recalibrate.

"I got into tech and coding because tech was my hobby. Now my hobby is is the same as work and work has ruined my hobby. So now if I want to enjoy tech I need to quit my hobby. Or I need to be OK that tech is no longer my hobby and find new hobbies."

If your customer service is bad, I’ll never use your app. My mantra is to treat Documen.so customers as I would like to be treated by other companies. That means, replying fast, not ghosting them, and providing constant updates. I don't always manage to offer the best support, but I try my best.

Migrating to TanStack Start
A while ago, I decided to move away from full-stack React frameworks and use a client-server setup. That is, separate the backend and the frontend, each being a standalone app. So, here’s the stack I ended up choosing: * Backend: Hono + Bun + PostgreSQL + Zod + Prisma + TypeScript + Better Auth * Frontend: React
