Leading #SussexPrisonersFamilies, community café creator. Sitting on @LabourParty NEC - website: catarnold.co.uk. Ex District Cllr of 6 years.

Hi, I wanted to make clear, contrary to some press reports, not all NEC members made the permission decision yesterday re: @andyburnham.bsky.social. It was just officers who voter (9 of ten). I would have voted for Andy Burnham to be able to stand, he's one of our best chances of beating Reform.

Thank you @annblack.bsky.social you have been such a wonderful guide and a real inspiration to me outside of the NEC and now within. I trully appreciate your support. Best wishes for your well earned retirement. You really deserve it.

A sad day for the Party to be losing such a revered figure from the front lines. Hopefully Party members will heed Ann's support for Cat, Jovan and Kerry for the NEC elections, who are endorsed by Mainstream.

Fabulous to be out for the Ashdown and Conquest by-election in Hastings, with the team from @HastingsandRyeLabourParty for their wonderful candidate #AmandaPollard. Some great support for Amanda, lots of people loved her NHS credentials. The by-election is on 20th November 2025. 🌹

As a proud @unison.org.uk member, I’m really grateful for this nomination. UNISON members are the backbone of our public services. As Mayor, I’ll always stand up for public service workers and fight for the fair pay, respect and conditions they deserve. Thank you!

Thank you Disability Labour for your endorsement. A fair Sussex must be an accessible Sussex, where disabled people can live, work, travel and thrive with dignity and independence. As Mayor, inclusion across all fields will be a priority in every decision I make.

Dai and I have been working together for several years to tackle food poverty in Adur — through both the Shoreham and Adur Community Foodbank, which Dai organises, and the Adur Community Café.

I’m really pleased to have the support of the Arun District Council Labour Group. In joint control of the council, Labour councillors in Arun are showing the real difference Labour can make in local government by delivering for residents, improving local services, and standing up opportunity.

I’m truly grateful to have the endorsement of Leslie Clarke, former Brighton & Hove Labour Group councillor and CEO of Pride Community Foundation. Sussex’s strength lies in our diversity. In the people & communities who make this region such a vibrant, compassionate and creative place to live.

I'm really honoured to have the support of Lundy Mackenzie, chair of Young Labour South East. Lundy was a driving influence in reinvigorating Young Labour, turning it into a campaigning force that helped secure Labour wins across Sussex and beyond, locally and in last year’s General Election.

Thank you so much to members of Mid Sussex CLP for your nomination. I’m proud to be receiving the support of members across Sussex. Our villages and market towns deserve to have leadership that will listen, include and deliver for them.

I'm delighted to have the support of Bognor Regis & Littlehampton Labour Party Cllr Michelle White. The waiting list for family-sized homes in Sussex is years long, in some councils it would take nearly 20 years to clear the backlog.

A quote graphic which reads: “Cat would make a great mayor of Sussex with relevant experience”

Cat has experience as a district councillor but also in business and the voluntary sector. A Mayor of Sussex would have regular dealing with all three and Cat would be able to hit the ground running.

From her help with my own election campaign I know she’s a campaigner who understands local issues but also the use of traditional and social media. An advocate for the people of Sussex will need such communication skills.

Cat understands the vital need for social housing, especially in areas where rents are high, including rural areas where young families have to move away.

Vote Cat Arnold as the Labour candidate for Mayor of Sussex.
