The only way I can explain it to myself is people apparently care as much about the arts as I do about AI emoji generators.
One of my least favorite things is writers, artists, translators, whatever explaining the things they made. Sucks all the magic out of the room.

Publishing would be in a much better spot if we were all a bit less efficient. If writers were slower, editors were slower, the cycle of new books was just slowed down.
So happy to see Astrid Roemer and Lucy Scott get this recognition for this absolute force of a book. I’ve never read anything like it and I’m so proud @twolinespress.bsky.social got to publish it in the US and to have partnered with the peerless @tiltedaxispress.bsky.social in the U.K.!
