Lewy body dementia is not always recognised - even by medical professionals. All week, we have been receiving messages from people who were told originally they had a different kind of dementia, or something else entirely, before they finally got the correct diagnosis.

It’s #WorldLewyBodyDay so I’m off to London to raise awareness of Lewy body dementia. We need improved understanding and care, and timely and accurate diagnosis for people affected by Lewy body dementia!

It is #WorldLewyBodyDay. Organisations around the world are shining a light on the disease, calling for better understanding and quicker and more accurate diagnoses for our loved ones. We will be sharing vital information throughout today as we take our cause to the heart of Westminster. #LBAW2026
