So damn awful that when HK and everyone connected to the city is mourning such a horrific tragedy, we're also having to defend our culture from misinformation and denigration, and very real risk that it will lead to further loss of our heritage.

Not surprising but the reporting has been so frustrating and disappointing.

In Swedish, a word for what you eat to bridge the gap between meals (or while waiting for the main course to cook) is stödmacka. It means "support sandwich." A similar word in Norwegian is ventepølse, or "waiting sausage."

With sales for most creatives I know being down across the board, please feel free to post your links below (many people want to support marginalized creators and small businesses but simply do not know where or how to do that).

Just a reminder that right now is a fantastic time to take that monthly Disney plus cash and spend it on trans/bipoc/disabled creators and small businesses. Boycotting the bad things is fantastic, but using those funds to then support and uplift those who’ve been marginalized is even better.
