My 100 Favourite Movies #64 The Rocky Horror Picture Show Dir: Jim Sharman Starring: Tim Curry After their car suffers a flat tyre, a young couple take shelter in a house filled with unusual people. A bizarre experience first time around, but wonderful from the second viewing...onwards. Unique.

GO FISH Another variation on a 'classic monster' (The Creature from the Black Lagoon) and decidedly weak sauce compared to the heights the show has reached in recent Episodes. Revealing in that it shows how buffy and co are viewed by many of their fellow fellow students -not particularly highly.

KILLED BY DEATH Filler, and with Buffy hospitalized by 'the flu' and a Freddie Kruger-esque villain, probably the weak link of Season 2. But this being Buffy, it's still loaded with fantastic moments, including a heroic Xander holding Angelus at bay as he comes to 'visit' Buffy in the hospital.

My 100 Favourite Movies #67 Glengarry Glen Ross Dir James Foley Starring Al Pacino Real Estate salesman are given an ultimatum: Start selling or you're fired Basically some of America's finest actors shouting at each other for an hour and a half Brilliant, but don't expect a fun time watching.

PASSION Another astounding Episode, given a Noirish feel with the ongoing voiceover by Angelus, and the death of the most significant character yet (excluding the Master) in Jenny Calendar. Angel's glee watching Willow cry as she receives the news may the the most sadistic Buffy moment ever.

BEWITCHED, BOTHERED, BEWILDERED A fantastic Xander-centric Valentine's show which sees the return of Amy Madison and was partially re-written at short notice to accommodate Sarah's absence hosting SNL. The first Episode that deals with magic spiralling out of control and probably the sexiest.

My 100 Favourite Movies #69 The Man Who Would Be King Dir: John Huston Starring: Connery, Caine. Two British soldiers travel to Afghanistan to seek their fortune. A moral fable by Rudyard Kipling of greed and power corrupting even the best of men and destroying even the greatest of friendships.

Once you've watched this clip. You can never unwatch it. It's there for ever. 😐

PHASES After the intensity of the Buffy/Angelus storyline, this Oz-centric show -which features another character with a secret-is almost bordering on laid back. Seth and Aly are wonderful, but props also to the Larry is gay subplot that gets its own entire arc in one episode. A werewolf in love...

SURPRISE Opener of a special 2-parter designed to bring Buffy's audience over to it's new Tuesday night time slot. Good timing as the Series is peaking. Spike and Dru continue to be remarkable, but the real drama here is Buffy and Angel's unavoidable hunger for each other. That won't end well.

My 100 Favourite Movies #72 The Beguiled Dir: Don Siegel Starring: Clint Eastwood A Union soldier hides out at a Confederate girls school during the American Civil war Eastwood in one of his rare outings as an unsympathetic, manipulative rogue and probably his best ever performance in a film.

BAD EGGS Heavily borrowing from 2 Horror classics (Invasion of the Body Snatchers/Alien) this Episode is unjustly mocked by some fans for it's poor practical effects and 'hive mind' storyline, but 90% of this show is solid. Features 2 characters from one of Whedon's fav movies: 'The Wild Bunch'.

TED Normally an enjoyable, safe place for fans, occasionally Buffy throws up an Episode that casts the 'fun' aside and ventures into a dark place. Season 2's example being 'Ted', which featured the series first big-name guest star (John Ritter) as the new unwelcome resident in Buffy's home

WHAT'S MY LINE #2 Even better than part One, with major shifts in the character dynamic-Xander and Cordelia's hatred turning to lustful attraction, a restored powerful Drusilla and a weakened Spike- and undoubtedly the most impressive fight scene of the series so far. Two Slayers -no waiting.
