The setting allows livestream video and chat material to be used by Amazon's AI systems, while the control to disable it is located within account security settings. Amazon said the audio captured from streams can support development of speech-recognition technology, including tools used for captions and voice-related applications. The policy has prompted criticism from some creators concerned that their likenesses or voices could eventually contribute to AI models without their active consent.
