#HurricaneLowell has reached the western edge of the main Hawaiian Islands. As of 5 p.m. Monday, the Central Pacific Hurricane Center reports Lowell remains a strong Cat 2 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds at 110 mph. Lowell was 170 miles SW of Lihue, & heading north-NE at a swift 18 mph.

Arday’s death—because he lost his postdoc. Apparently there’s nothing a white man can do that deserves consequences.

This is not new, sadly. Look who creates textbooks and where they are sold. Often it depends on the " $$ʻ possible. Which is why a textbook in Hawaii had errors some years ago but the publisher did not fix because it was not feasible. :(

On 8/15, Mālama Mākua hosted a cultural access specifically for lineal descendants of Mākua into the Valley. This on the westside of Oahu Island. If you have a chance, try to view the film about Makua Valley today. Still needs to be cleared, even if the military leaves.
