I work in film as a cloth VFX artist. When I'm not doing that, I make art and things. Sometimes I stream on Twitch @ twitch.tv/cearka Progressive Lib. Doing my best to enjoy normal things as we descend into fascism or WW3 T_T
I swapped out my primary keyboard, which has a different footprint, and now I have to redesign the housing for my primary midiCC controller

I've been pretty inactive because I've been crunching on a film the last ... 10 months. But as crunch is nearing an end I'd like to continue posting some of my old pieces in a lead up to being able to stream again. Here's a fun robo-made brass vacuum cleaner key cap a cookie keycap I made.
So.... I finally have gotten into making PCBs and its like a whole new branch of possibilities for the stuff I make
super useful piece of equipment for replacing dead li-on batteries
finally have a use for this and i made yet another very specific bypass switch
Between working too much and being numb from the world being on fire, I haven't really remembered to post anything. Here's a throwback, a collab I did with @danielhookerart.bsky.social in a more peaceful time. No other context needed.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2ra... Despite how much this job cuts into my sleep, its a pretty dang cool job.

It’s really becoming frightening the things that I’m seeing in the media. It’s one thing for bigots to be bigots, I expect bigots to be the awful people that they are. #trans #transgender #queer #genderqueer #lgbt #lgbtq #lgbtqia #transrights #transrightsarehumanrights #twtransphobia
We’ve seen this in history before… and we’ve seen the road this kind of rhetoric leads, something that I’ve tried ad nauseum to communicate to my family… …but they don’t seem to care. #comics #webcomics #imstillalex #transartist #queerartist
youtube.com/shorts/1FA5j... I spent a lot of time working on this piece of tech upgrade (and 4 others), so that I can come back to stream tomorrow.
