My advice to @ashegrads.bsky.social re: self care while conducting equity-focused research during this era? Academics: Do you imagine you're in the clear b/c you've played it safe, avoided commenting on so-called "controversial" issues, and/or don't teach or write on one of "those" subjects? Think again. It may start with x, y, or z "issues" or subjects. But rest assured that will be just the beginning.
