Retreat day 1🌿 Yesterday, CEM arrived at MolsLab in beautiful sunshine, kicking off our annual 3-day retreat dedicated to deep dives into CEM’s key research areas. We spent the day in focused scientific group work across our core topics, bringing together diverse skills, backgrounds and disciplines

This February we said goodbye to our Guest PhD-student, Gabriella, who has been visiting CEM from Italy. During her stay Gabriella contributed academically while also becoming a valued part of our community🔬🌟 Thank you for being part of CEM, Gabriella!✨

A Milestone Worth Celebrating🎉 We are proud to congratulate our PhD student, Mie Mai Corneliussen, on successfully completing her PhD Part A exam on cable bacteria and biogeochemistry. Well done, Mie👏

Our postdoc, @martasu.bsky.social, will, in her MSCA project, study the symbiotic relationship between cable bacteria and seagrasses, exploring how these microbes may improve plant health, mitigate toxic sulphides and support growth under nitrogen limitation via N₂ fixation. 🌱🔬
