📢 We have an open position for a postdoc to join my lab. It's a great position @animecol-uu.bsky.social, fully salaried for 2.5 years with all benefits. www.uu.se/en/about-uu/... The project is about transmission patterns of bacteria and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in aquatic insects. 🧬🦠 (1/3)

Excited to share that I was awarded a 6M SEK grant from Formas, the Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development ! 🎉 The project is about the early-life gut #microbiome of reindeer calves, and how it's associated with their health and growth. 🦌🦠🧬

Interested in host-associated microbiomes? Attending @eseb2025.bsky.social? Then come check out Symposium S07 on Monday August 18th and hear all about how microbiomes contribute to adaptation. Gut microbiomes, climate change, thermal physiology, behaviour, invasion biology, blood-feeding, and more!

We will look for a postdoc after the summer to start a new project on transmission of microbiota and antimicrobial resistance in lake flies. 🦠🧬🦟 It primarily involves experiments in the lab (transmission between predator-prey, vertical, species) and metagenomic sequencing to find AMR genes.

Really cool PhD project with a fantastic group and PI 🙌 We have a great department with fun people like yours truly ☺️
