yea tbh while the west was busy pretending we were too insignificant for them, we just walked away and have been doing our own thing. i got bored with music coming out america about 17 years ago and tbh when i listen to what's new i find it - as bong joon ho says - quite local

Rather than adding or subtracting a category here and there to "give exposure" to non-Western artists, the Grammys (and the whole industry) needs to be re-written from the ground up. People looking to the US as a hub for major awards is no longer a given.

seriously...namjoon meeting this daegu kid...the one who remixed one of namjoon's tracks to audition, the one who has a fire in his eyes...not knowing this would be the one who never leaves...not knowing they'd take a photo with nas together after nas went to their worldwide soldout stadium tour 😭😭
