A small counterweight to the general collapse of print is that printing technology has developed to the point where almost any outfit can make stuff that is visually stunning. Thought prompted by the new Works In Progress, which looks like a million bucks. (Shameless plug, as I have a piece in it.)
This kid has had himself a whole ass weekend. -30 yard TD run on Friday at flag football -2 goals in his soccer game on Saturday -2nd consecutive win in his running series on Sunday. (We’ve got another one. And he might be the best one.)
Did we inexplicably lose our 3rd in a row today? Yes. But some late season honeydew and cantaloupe are ready, so it’s not all terrible. (Gave one to the squirrels. Not pleased.)

Large adult son just broke a kitchen chair by merely existing. (Being 9 years old, a giant unable to control his body, and weaponized mass thanks to gravity) And this is not cheap furniture. My kids are going to kill me before 50.

Have been focusing a lot on student thinking of late. I believe schools are good at having students complete tasks, but not as good at having them think deeply. Overheard in class today: “It’s really hard to think this way…but I kind of like it.”
