Feel horrible for Joshua Jefferson. He just has to sit there and helplessly watch this game knowing he could have been enough to change it.
As badly as they’re getting outrebounded, if Iowa State made their free throws this is a close game or better.
Tennessee starting to pick up some whistles for the hand fighting.
There is a significant size advantage for Tennessee, but Iowa State is just never in good position on these rebounds and they’re simultaneously getting outworked.
Iowa State can’t get any shooters open and can’t deal with Tennessee’s size down low.
All-in-all, you’re feeling okay about that half. Tennessee’s rebounding is real, but they’re expending a ton of energy on offense just trying to find a half open look. Knock down some jumpers and keep pressuring Tennessee, and you can outlast them to the finish line.
In 23’s defense, the camera dude at the other end of the floor was wide open.
Tennessee getting away with a crazy amount of contact.
Tennessee’s only offense is to miss a three so badly that a rebound goes straight down to their big man down low.
