I’m excited that my film –Franciscan Contradictions– is an official selection for the San Diego Latino Film Festival – it will screen at the Raíces short film program at the Digital Gym Cinema on Saturday, March 22nd.
Sheeesh this is so detailed!! It’s also cool seeing how your practice helps you grow as an individual, learning things that go beyond just the practice itself. It’s very cyclic, you make art to illustrate metaphors on life, and in return making art brings you metaphors to apply to your life ❤️

Art as a form of resistance, education and solidarity is becoming more and more important
My friend @friscojumpman.bsky.social told me about Hegel’s Dialectic and the collective conscious. I then recalled John August’s description of story also centering this. Now I’m framing my thinking that shifting the collective conscious is like transforming a character (or millions of them).
We will continue to recognize people as they wish to be recognized and continue to affirm their right to the existence that validates their personhood. I will accept nothing less.
