I'm 21. Instead of spending my university holidays gaming all day, I'm trying to build a digital-product business. My goal: $0 → $1,000 online.
5 years. Since 2020 I've been learning design, websites, marketing, and digital products. Today my analytics still says: "0 sales." Not giving up. One day this screenshot will become part of the success story.
Question for founders: What was the first thing that actually moved the needle for you? - Content? - SEO? - Social media? - Communities? - Paid ads? I'm trying to solve the distribution puzzle and would love to hear your experience.
Day 7 lesson: The internet doesn't reward effort. It rewards visibility. Nobody cares how many hours you spent building. They care if they can find what you built.
Since 2020 I've been chasing one goal: Build something online that creates value for people. I've learned design, websites, marketing, and digital products. Still not where I want to be. But I'm closer than I was 5 years ago.
A week ago I thought launching was the hard part. Now I think distribution is harder. You can spend weeks building something useful. Then discover nobody knows it exists. That's the game I'm learning.
Day 7 of building in public. Traffic so far: - Product Hunt: failed - Bluesky: 10 visitors - Revenue: $0 Most people only share the wins. I'm sharing the reality. Still building. Still learning. Still shipping.
Day 6 My goal isn't to go viral. My goal is to publish every day until one post does. One article. One product. One lesson. Repeat. Day 6 of building in public. 🚀
