I avoid management roles. They felt like a different skill set to me. After 30+ years in the industry it's starting to feel silly applying for senior roles. A director at Ubi once told me I should be applying for director roles but I don't know. I like being in the editor. #gamedev #gamedeveloper

Not sure I 100% agree with this. Something can be two things at once. It can be brutal, but it can also be fun. Return to Castle Wolfenstein development was certainly both at once. Some project are defiantly more brutal than fun. *Looks at...* 🤫 #gamedev

I find many subreddit annoying. They have elitist posting rules that make me question their existence. For instance r/FishingOntario. I posted looking for a good spot in my area & they delete the post saying you can't ask for fishing spots. Like a cooking subreddit saying no recipe sharing. Huh??

Well EA just had a huge layoff. It really feels like the AAA space is changing. If you don't innovate you die. You can't just keep kicking money out of those franchises & expect them to be profitable. You need to be always making new & exciting game play if you want them to stay alive. #gamedev
