Announced my first ever IRL event this week and so far we received a lot of support from the people in my city and im very happy. I grew tired of the local dubstep going to zero so i took matters into my own hands and made my own event ! Hopefully it goes well and we have a bit of success !
That one time we spent 20 racks on an IRL/VR event and half the vrc community shat on us for even bringing up the cost lmao people dont understand how hard, stressfull and intense it is when youre litterally putting so much on the line (yes it was 2 years ago, yes we are still paying off the debt)
Captivated@captivated.bsky.social · 6mo agoI think it's something massively understated that most people understandably know very little about *how* to put on an event at all in the world of things. VR is a massively condensed version that has such a little scope to how it actually goes. How painful the process is from beginning to end.
