today the mabinogi eternity alpha started in korea. i've been watching the official stream this evening that the director is hosting and it's very cute... he's going into some streamers' channels and thanking them for playing and directly asking them questions about how they like it. brave....

stayed up way later than i should have so i could finish reading rf kuang’s babel last night….. originally i started reading it at a snail’s pace so i could enjoy it like a fine wine but halfway through i realized i could not put it down and finished the rest these past two days… incredible book!!!!
finished watching a playthrough of endacopia last night. mellow is a funny little guy.
as i've been writing/editing the first bit of script for my little world i've realized the hardest part of it is that every time i come up with something i like, i worry more about what my shrewd and talented friends or peers might think of it than what i want from it. kind of a weird dilemma.

today’s treats… lunch was goto-style udon, which is well-known in nagasaki! and a lemon cheesecake. i’ve tried a lot of different udon varieties…but this one might be the most “al dente spaghetti” of them so far. but it is its own thing!! it’s got a really unique texture. i liked it a lot.
i know i'm in a weird brainspace because i have not watched an anime as it was airing for several years. but suddenly i am watching 2 this season (jaadugar and goodbye lara).
i learned today that there is a video blogger from kansai who fell in love with the state of new jersey and has decided to make her entire blog about nj and learning what is fun to do there...... as a new jersey person i am both moved and incredibly confused.... the world is so vast.

today i was considering what they're gonna do for splatoon 4 if there is one, or if the winner of the past/present/future splatfest mattered. i am wishing for a pre-bubble showa era 80s/90s splatoon city where the band is a city pop idol group. the design/sound team would nail that direction....
lrt mostly i'm reposting this for the theme because that soken guitar riff goes so damn hard..... the evercold theme might be my favorite expansion theme by far. i am looking forward to hearing more of it this weekend!!!!

my old (2005??) alchemist from iRO... i remember making up a backstory for her as a kid while i was getting her leeched in clock tower. iirc her mom tested forbidden alchemy on her in the aldebaran clock tower and it damaged her eyes. she wanted to become an alchemist to get her sight back
i tried the new RO mobile game out of morbid curiosity. it is very cute, and the art/visual style is fitting for the ragnarok world...but it is regrettably terrible to play on multiple levels. the only thing i must praise is the fact that one of the pets you can get is a pink siroma. she is perfect.
