It is incongruent to claim you support safe spaces for women in fighting games while also supporting a company that employs a man who sexually harasses women IN fighting games.
Because the success of this game gives him an avenue for return, signals to companies they can keep hiring him for their FGs & I promise you that will allow for more harassment of women working behind the scenes & at events because he has never shown remorse.
So he was sexually harassing people IN our community. To support FGs he works on is to tell companies & community members you don’t care if people sexually harass women in FGC. And if you don’t care, this post isn’t for you. You cannot say you care while supporting a known abuser from/in scene.
OK, regarding the Avatar game. I’ve never twisted any stranger’s arm but I need to say this: to refer to Mike Z as an ass or to say he sucks does not do justice to what happened. He sexually harassed people ON his Skull Girls team, & guess what? The people working on FGs? Many are IN our communities

I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.
