At some point, the truth will set in that there aren't (& never have been) enough people in the real world who genuinely enjoy music to financially support any type of actual Recording Industry.
SlyDante@slydante.bsky.social · 6d agoIf anything, Gracie Abrams feels like the main character in such a show, in that they're the character who we're told writes "real" music as opposed to the slickly-produced pop, but then said music turns out to be the most generic acoustic stuff possible & yet we're still supposed to cheer for it.
My stylist complimented me on how blue my eyes are today. I instinctively thanked her & proceeded to feel as awkward as I've felt in my life.
