Elbows Up! Canada 🍁 is NOT for sale. Residing on Treaty 6 territory. Personal Account.
The Conservative Party of Canada has no business supporting western separation. Not when BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan deliver a huge number of CPC-safe seats in Ottawa. To endorse western separation would essentially be political suicide in Ottawa and I think they know it.
Three and a half weeks to go. 😬 But uh... Yeah, not going to say it. I did think about taking care of something ahead of time but you know, I can't do anything unless I'm specifically asked to do it so 🤷♂️. I guess good luck?
New Zealand in August 2027 is a go. Confirmed and happening. This time next year I'll be on my way to Auckland and the north island for two weeks.
Musician here. Nowhere near as good as she is. The level of mental acuity to switch to a different piece on the fly is nuts. You spend all that prep time mentally preparing for something completely different and then suddenly have to flip a switch.. Nothing but massive respect.
Every performer’s worst nightmare. Maria Joao Pires instantly realized she had been practicing the wrong piece. Despite that, she ended up playing the entire concerto from memory, even though it was from the previous year’s repertoire. Original post
"I am very disappointed with Jeanine Pirro. She folded like an umbrella." - Donald Trump, who can't fold an umbrella
It's like when you're a musician and you're told "do it for the exposure" but you keep insisting on getting paid for your gigs and they are offended because you want payment for your services.
Its embarrassing how many grown ass adults live in these fantasies where people work for some nonsense like the artificial cultures oligarchs manufacture over survival.
The teardown of my current workspace setup is going to be somewhat complex. USB cables everywhere, surplus cables everywhere. Those will be tidied. Biggest thing will be removing the oversized GPU before I move the tower because in this economy, I don't want to risk damaging the PCB. (1/2)
If you're a member of Trump's cabinet, I'm pretty sure going straight to combat with members of the media RFK-style isn't going to be a winning strategy. Americans from coast to coast will only ask "How the fuck does this help me afford things NOW?!" They care about affordability, not COVID.
New standing desk for my home workspace build has been shipped! Delivery coming up this week. Looking forward to finally being able to manage this workspace more efficiently.
Accurate. Democrats would always hold power because Canada + California + New York would always equal a massive majority for the Dems every single cycle. Republicans would instantly put themselves out of power forever. It's not possible. Trump can fuck off.
Oh, that was never going to happen, trust me! Here, I'll let this post explain it better than I can:
Ocean's ELEVEN? In this economy?
TWELVE Angry Men? In this economy?
Wait a minute.. No... I mean, it's possible? Definitely trending in the realm of possibility.
No doubt she got a few dozen furious text messages from Trump after dismissing the case. She'll be out before August is done.
Start the clock. Now that Pirro has admitted the reflecting pool was Trump’s fault, who lasts longer? Pirro, or explosive diarrhea lettuce.
I'm going to pull the trigger on a new standing desk. The current desk I have would make for an excellent shop/repair desk for electronics and instruments at work. The paint is worn but it can be structurally sound with some reinforcement. Drawers will be perfect for tool storage.
One full month with a fully internal Nextcloud Calendar and I have to admit, I don't think I want to go back to any other calendar. I love that it's fully internal and private and can only be accessed from outside the network through Tailscale. It will be a big home server app in the future.
More likely that there are going to be rolling power outages, polluted water, and increasing automation. Just like all those promises of the "biggest economic quarter yet" have evaporated, Hassett's assurance that data centers are great is bullshit.
Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."
Republicans need the filibuster. This is how they manage to leverage their clout when they're in the minority.
And, I guess that this happened today:
Matt, they're telling you that you're a fucking asshole. They're not wrong.

Stressful times in the DC suburbs.
Since June 24 I've burned 58,000 active calories through time at the gym and movement around the community/city. As of tomorrow I'll be 62% through my goal of 100,000 active calories throughout the summer months. This will be my most active summer in a long, long time.
Right? It's a damn good thing that sparsely populated states like North Dakota and South Dakota each have two US senators and heavily populated states like California and New York each have *checks notes* two US senators. Totally a legit system of governance.

FIFA has a funny set-up where every country gets exactly one vote which means small countries are way overrepresented and you can hang on to power by promising little giveaways to those countries and their reps. Thankfully no similar system exists in the United States government, that would be bad
I know what I'm going to do. But I need to keep it to myself right now.

On one hand, Trump saying shit like this is dangerous and stupid. On the other hand, he's handing the Dems a huge victory in under 100 days so there's that.
The only thing worse than having one of the biggest morons on the planet running your country is having one that thinks he’s actually smarter than everyone else.
That's alright. The GOP's going to get their teeth kicked in at the midterms. Book it. They're in for a rude fucking awakening of monumental proportions. Texas, Maine, and Alaska going blue better send a message to the brass to shape up or ship the fuck out as well.
TMZ’s Harvey Levin Calls GOP Attacks On Dr. Fauci ‘Heartbreaking,’ Compares It to McCarthyism
I'd argue that the constant funding cuts and increasing legislation to restrict access to certain medical procedures and treatments Republican lawmakers keep voting for kill more than that, Senator Fuckface, but hey, you do you and we'll see how things look in November.
Tuberville: "I'll be the governor of Alabama and I promise you we will find out if there's a possibility that we can bring him to Alabama to put him in front of a court and a jury to see if we can put this guy in prison. He killed millions of people, folks."
He's basically calling out to Trump to get him out of there. That's what this is. He thinks the social media prez can do his boi a solid.
No, asshole. It wasn't this, it was the constant fucking drum beat of conservatives literally every fucking where who always gave in to the .01% of society that didn't want to do their part during a global health crisis. That's what caused distrust in governance globally.
Sen. Roger Marshall: "Who didn't have a friend who took this vaccine and had some time of complication? A stroke, a blood clot, a young man getting some type of heart inflammation. That's what destroyed the trust in the American people for our government."
