As much as I expected a bit of a mass exodus, a good many of our players were too good for the WSL2, and I'm also not going to lose much sleep over Van Egmond leaving (I don't think that signing worked out ultimately), I am getting a bit antsy about us bringing players in now.

This United lack of investment/clarity in direction has been rumbling on for ages. Feels as though they got a reprieve and *some* backing last season because they'd made CL, but it ostensibly wasn't enough. Now that's gone again they've had the rugged pulled from under them.

Morocco get a pen, keeper saves. Goes out for a corner. Before it can be taken, ref blows up. Keeper drops to her knees in despair. Pen has to be retaken. Morocco try to change their penalty taker. Obv not allowed. Keeper makes an even better save on the second one. WAFCON 🤩

Thrilled that Sam Tierney has signed a new contract with Leicester until 2028. Vital for the stability of the team. A consistent performer with elite vision and reading of the game. One of the most underrated players in the women's game in my completely unbiased opinion.

Seeing the #LCFCWomen squad torn apart this way - with so many players going to good clubs - just shows how much we underachieved last season, and only reinforces my view that the blame lays squarely at the door of the manager. So disappointing.

I don't know, maybe the fact that 5 (and counting, I'm predicting at least 7 before the end of the window) of our players have gone to WSL sides, including one which was in the champions league last season, might give you a clue that the squad wasn't really the problem, it was how badly it was used

Grew up in the Black Country. My accent wasn't ever that broad and think it may have softened over time as I moved more into Staffs then the East Midlands, and my husband is from Cambridge. But when I'm really angry or upset, I go full Yam Yam.

Question for others. Has you accent changed over time, and does yours regress, as mine does, at times of emotion? I was born in Luton, and lived there until 5. You can age me by the fact my mother told me off for say "blimey." And then. /1

I think what makes Spain a scary prospect particularly on the women's side is how good their talent pipeline is. Their domination in the age groups in Europe over the last 4-5 years is mad.
