Chateau Bluerose is your home. And I'm your favorite maid. Stay with me. Stay with me. Stay with me. [ Journal posts are the "canon", and non-journal posts you can interact to contribute. Things that interest me will be added to the delusion. ]

6761 I love pathetic things. Things that are weak. Flawed. Stupid. Incapable. They present a challenge to those who comprehend them, the depth of ignominy. How. How did you survive. How did you make it. What love, what luck, what strength do I not yet see has brought you to me? How may I add to it?

6760 People write plenty about bravery. But ever it's framed as a willingness to take great risks for what they care about. I know however that bravery isn't about the risk. Bravery is the confidence to manage defeat with grace. Victory is for the lucky. Survival is for the brave. I will find a way.

6759 The blood moon hung radiant in the welkin. The scarlet fields on all sides teemed with ersatz life on the boundary of what was and what could have been. Even the vultures and wolves treaded lightly on the memory of the soil. It was here in the fallow that a field mouse made a lil squeak today.

What's been getting into the hens lately? The head maid feels a personal responsibility to tend to the ladies of the court and their invaluable contributions to the House, but they've been gathering in silence in perfect circles in the yard. Which is fine, she supposes. But what the hell.

6758 A hunter lives in balance with her environment. The way humans use the word predator demeans the noble role they serve in the complex household of the wild. In their way protector and caretaker and disciplinarian. Whether their intent or not, they're looking after those without their own fangs.

The head maid thinks maybe we should try eating things that are not somehow omurice. Is this a good idea or is the head maid just making things more complicated? She's pacing a hole into the kitchen floor. Maybe we try. Just an omelet. Like without rice.

6757 A maid is much like a princess's doll. She's meant to be used and played with and serve her noble purpose. For a girl to cherish, dress her pretty and put her on display. But most importantly, a doll is there to give shape and reality to a girl's vibrant imagination. The conduit for her dreams.

6756 The birds I rescued the other day are pigeons I found out. A wind turbine is no place to build a nest but they did it anyway. I think it's quite brave of them. And smart. What predator will dare challenge the turbine, the largest beast in their habitat, made of metal and roaring constantly.

The head maid finds herself staring at the spreadsheets of the household finances and almost let the thought pass that she shouldn't spend that much on commissions and fresh peach skin dakimakura covers depicting the princess but that'd be stupid to think so she allots more budget to it.

The head maid is dressing the new doll. She built it last week. She wonders, idly, what style of maid uniform it preferred when it was alive. She asks the other dolls in the workshop what they think it preferred.

6755 Sometimes I feel I am being watched. Of course things that can watch me abound, this world still teems with life even without you. It wouldn't be the first time I jumped at shadows. A maid knows when the shapes through the windows and the dust on the ground is out of place. Maybe I'm lonely.

6754. Today there were animals in the garden. It was nice to have company. It was the first time since 6202 we had visitors besides the logistics deliveries. They ignored my signals to stay away from the larder, so I hunted them. They didn't have much useful but their meat, leather, and this phone.
