I'm angry and heartbroken to learn that Spiders game studio is closing. They created some of my favorite games such as Greedfall, and I briefly talked with Jehanne Rousseau over on Twitter to tell her how much I loved Steelrising. Thank you for many wonderful gaming memories, Spiders. 🕷️

This is one of those games that feels like somebody crawled into my brain, saw the kind of game I've been wanting and decided to make it. Backed!
Back the Kickstarter now! www.kickstarter.com/projects/way...
I just discovered a game on Steam/Kickstarter called Wyldheart that looks like it could be something special: lots of character customization and gameplay that looks very fun in the video! It leans toward short/bite-sized play sessions which sounds perfect to me. www.kickstarter.com/projects/way...

I've been watching a lot of Lucy Darling videos lately—she's a character portrayed by Carisa Hendrix. Let me tell you: she is a revelation. Funny, insightful, kind and inclusive. I love her so much.
This makes me sick to my stomach. Pixar created some of my favorite films, but to learn that they did so while treating women this way? It poisons those memories irreversibly. My heart goes out to Cassandra for being forced to endure this bullshit.
If you're wondering how bad things were at Pixar for women, the answer is pretty horrifyingly bad.
Does anyone else do the thing where they lose interest in things they love (games, IPs, etc) and it just... never comes back? I feel like I've fallen out of love with about as much stuff as I've enjoyed in the last 2 or 3 years and I hate it.
@dobbeldungeon.bsky.social I bought DD on Steam last night and the art style brings back memories of claymation shows and cartoons that I loved as a child. Very charming game so far!
Finally, FINALLY. I've been dying for a follow-up to Kena since I finished the first one back in 2021.

Ember Lab announced Kena: Scars of Kosmora. It's a sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Releases in 2026.
Rest in peace, Catherine O'Hara. She gave me some of the best laughs I've experienced in my life and sounded like a lovely person from the people she worked with. Few celeb deaths genuinely affect me, but this one... this one fucking hurts.
The degree to which Blizzard screwed up with the 12.0 transmog updates is astonishing. They ripped out a simple, elegant system that did exactly what it needed to do, and replaced it with a system so obtuse and expensive that it almost feels like a punishment.
@selmaleh.bsky.social Hello! I don't know if you remember me from the dumpster fire site, but I posted a few times about your awesome performance as the Freelancer in Anthem. I logged on a few times to play recently before the game shut down: I wish I got to have more adventures as that character.
I would kill for a Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom-style Kena game where she looked like this. ADORABLE!

Blasphemy to some, I'm sure, but Fallout season 2 isn't hitting the same way that season 1 did for me, at least not so far. Maybe the last 5 episodes will turn my opinion around, but so far it just feels like a lot of random filler to get the characters where the plot needs them to be.
I hope all my mutuals and friends here had a wonderful holiday if you celebrate; if not, I hope it was a safe/quiet day for you.
All the hoopla surrounding Divinity got me thinking about Divinity 2: Ego Draconis (or as it is known now, Divinity 2: Director's Cut). I loved that game. Fun story, gorgeous soundtrack and nice graphics (other than a handful of janky animations). I need to give it another playthrough.
I had a great time with this game. Fun protagonist, unique combat, rich setting and memorable NPCs that assist your character in her journey. Definitely worth picking up; doubly so on sale.
Our debut game, Eternal Strands is on sale again for the Steam Winter Sale. Explore a ruined magical city full of constructs, climb everything, including huge creatures, and combine magical abilities in physics-based combat. Fully voiced, light romances. Enjoy store.steampowered.com/app/1491410/...
Ever since I finished Control, I've had this lingering worry that any sequel/follow-up would focus on Dylan instead of bringing back Jesse Faden as the protagonist. So the Control Revenant reveal at the Game Awards was unsurprising to me, but left me disappointed nevertheless.
Hot take: after 20ish hours played, I actually really like the companions in Metroid Prime 4. They're occasionally written with surprising nuance and never descend into 'HOO-AH MARINES' cliches. And Nora's reaction to meeting Samus is so wholesome and fangirlish that it made me smile ear to ear.
Anybody else utterly sick of opening Bluesky and having new 'we have nothing in common but I'm following you in the hopes that you follow back' followers? We need a way to remove ourselves from people's list of followed accounts.
Find someone that loves you, the way Nora Armstrong loves Samus Aran.
I really wish Bryony Corrigan was on Blusky so I could run up to her screaming (in 240 characters) how much I loved her performance as Rook in DATV.
One of the best artists I've ever commissioned in terms of communication and feedback (and obv the finished art itself). Highly recommended.

2 hours in, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is absolutely fantastic. And yes, I've even met the NPC (Miles whatever) that had websites like IGN spamming hyperbolic 'ANNOYING NPCS! GAME IS DOOMED' nonsense. No, he is not that bad. Dude is a dork, but not like... insufferably so.
I realize I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm just not excited at all about the launch of housing in WoW today. It feels like yet another instance of elves, humans and orcs being the only races that got any real effort (exteriors) with absolutely no sign of trolls, gnomes etc getting theirs.
Me seeing that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is the top selling game on Switch 2 atm:
