Yet another example of a seat that shouldn't be competitive. Spartz won by 19 points in 2024, Trump by 17. Let's say, it's closer to Spartz +5 or so, we're still talking a pretty massive swing left. We're seeing it time & again. Indiana, Florida, Texas....you name it. Tick tock, motherfuckers ✊

Indiana - 5th House Polling: 🔴Spartz: 48%* 🔵Ford: 46% Impact Research / July 20, 2026 (Ford Internal) (Current model result has IN-5 at GOP 52% - DEM 43%) unitedstatespolling.com/p/the-republ...

You know, we talk a lot about Centrists not being great team players and/or not saying if they'll support Progressives in the general election. But we need to be clear, it happens on all sides of the party & it should be unacceptable. ....and I'm glad this clown lost last night.

Look, I'll simply say this about MI-Sen. If one of the rating sites wants to put the race to start at Toss-up, I'm not going to argue with them. And I'd have said the same if Haley won. Being blunt, I don't think MI had great options this cycle, in particular once Mallory dropped out.

The tough part with tonight’s MI Sen race? This is probably the worse case scenario. If anything you want one of the candidates to win big. Pulling together the voters after this bruising primary is going to be incredibly challenging. And is going to require putting a lot of egos & feelings aside.

Legit glad I have a work function tonight so I can ignore a night that is likely to be full of people spouting a lot of nonsense. Both sides of the party are ripe for it tonight.

Normal cautions around this being an internal poll but yea.....every sign from Florida is literally terrible for the GOP. Latest case here is FL-12. Trump won this district by 15.3 points in 2020. If this district is on the map, the GOP is BEYONNNNDDD fucked!

For folks who have followed me for awhile, you’ll know this is something I talk about pretty often. And I continue to be SUPER uncomfortable with how many of my fellow Dems only dislike Trump & Trumpism because he has done things you don’t like. But want candidates & a party that dictates like him

Something I think that underlies a lot of debates within the Democratic party and center-left right now is whether or not you think Trumpism has been successful as a political and ideological project. (Not, obviously, whether it's been good or not).

I have a hunch that we are going to see some pretty big polls this coming week, in particular tomorrow. Monday is exactly 3 months until the midterms. Perhaps NYT has some new ones coming?

I hope folks remember what I said awhile back, but I think it’s probably worth echoing daily until the midterms: This administration knows they’re royally fucked. They know they’re about to take it on the chin in the midterms. Their only focus is on making things as painful as possible until then.

Uhhh this is literally a HORRIBLE internal for the GOP lol Under the new map, FL-08 is R+16. Showing a 7 point swing left in an internal is…a choice 🤣🤣

You know the funniest and most likely outcome is one of Abdul and Hong wins & one losses, thus making literally nobody happy lol All jokes aside, my current gut says the voters are going to send a ton of mixed signals that unfortunately leads to this mess continuing until the 2028 primaries 🤷‍♂️😭

Whoever sold their donor list to Gina Hinojosa & Alex Vindman isn’t seeing heaven lol I think I’ve gotten like 10 emails from the two of them combined this week already.
