Studio day 🎙️ Talking about cyberbullying, young people, and online life. Usually I prepare too much, but this time I skipped the script and trusted years of thinking about this work. Hoping my mouth kept up with my brain lol Curious to see the final cut 👀 #AcademicSky

One of my fav parts of presenting at an international behavioural development conference was hearing afterwards from an educator in Singapore who connected my Online Warriors findings on online hate and coping among racialized youth to supporting youth in schools. Research can travel #AcademicSky

Health research funding in Canada is shrinking with ~13.6% success rate today vs 30% in early 2000s 😒 More researchers, less support. Letter to Finance Minister asks for funding boost over 5 yrs. So many good research ideas waiting… exhaustion is real 🫠 #academicsky

Visited Musqueam before heading north 🪶 After years away, returning to the land and community reminded me that wellbeing, healing, and learning are inseparable from place. Some remembered me from before, even commenting on my hair 😆 Relationships and history live in the land as much as in people.
