completed my implementation of expression sliders as best as I could before I'm away for the weekend, now handed to the rest of the team pending testing and polish. hopefully it should be back soon! <3

I want people to be more aware of Ktisis' new features like the Lights, Speech bubbles, and World Object Overlay (or WOO as i call it) so lets start with the lights. Lights now have Textures. These apply to Spot and Area lights. you can even change their color. (1/13)

doing computers as a job is cool and all but being able to work on ktisis and on xiv plugins in general has been such a treat, i love it and dont plan to stop! theres still a lot to do and i am so thankful to everybody who's provided help and direction to make something badass

as someone who's never worked on anything with this much positive and creative impact, or for such an awesome community, my joy and pride in what we've been able to accomplish in the last year is bottomless

made more progress today and started addressing the pitfalls mentioned in my last post! expressions can now be mixed with edits made by the user and should apply additively with other sliders, just needs further testing

A blue-skinned Au Ra floats upright in tropical cyan water, looking down at the camera with a smile. She's wearing a colorful swimsuit consisting of a mostly red chest-wrap (it doesn't really "wrap" but I don't know what else to call it) and a skirt with blue tassles hanging from the bottom, which are flaring out around her. Bubbles have escaped her mouth and are floating upwards, and some smaller ones are rising from her skin. Below here grows a verdant kelp forest, tall enough to almost reach her. Growing up among the kelp are tall lilypads of varying heights, though not the kind that reach all the way to the surface. Colorful fish swim all around, some even forming a circle behind her head. Wow, such incredible composition.

yesterday I resubbed to ffxiv specifically to help rebuild the expression slider feature from scratch as I had planned when I first prototyped it in 2024, here's a progress update I shared showing roughly 8 hours of work with breaks

with regards to the prior Ktisis announcement: I'll be candid and say that I was unaware of the usage of Claude in concepting the implementation of the expression sliders/FACS feature, but I do take responsibility for it as the person responsible for overseeing the hand-off.
