#quiltsky #quilting I had bought this as a mystery kit. I got impatient and didn't lay it out as well as I should have, but I'm pleased nonetheless. I think I will probably remake this one at some point, but with fewer patterns with writing in them. My brain can't handle this many directionals.

#quiltsky #quilting My local quilting group is having a mystery block challenge. I picked a random pattern & had to make it in red, white, & blue. I think I'll triple it & turn it into a wall hanging. I've been hanging on to this paisley scrap for a few years, and am pleased with my color matching.

#quiltsky #quilting Another unfinished project has been finished. I had most of this quilt together with one of the patchwork borders, but never got around to finishing the bottom. It feels good to sew again!

#quiltsky #quilting With school starting again, I've kind of lost my energy for sewing, but I'm trying to get it back. I started piecing this several weeks ago, but got back to it tonight and got the top finished. It's a very small project, but I'm pleased.

#quiltsky #quilting It needs a border, but I'm super happy with how this project turned out. I had no clear vision, I just started making rainbow disappearing 9 blocks. My initial layout did not look like I thought it would in my head, but I fell in love with this configuration.

#quilting #quiltsky My sister & I needed a gift for a close family friend who happens to be a nun, so I went through my stash, got out a new pattern, and made this Pope tray bag. I'm really happy with my machine quilting, as I just eyeballed the parallel lines.

#quiltsky #quilting I was playing around with some Halloween paper pieced patterns for a upcoming class I'm teaching. I made an impromptu wall hanging out of them.

#quiltsky #quilting I FINALLY had some free time to sew this summer! I'm trying desperately to stretch these remnants into a full project. The block also produces a wealth of HST's, and I plan on using them too.

#vectrex #retrogaming We found our holy grail this week! A local online auction house was selling off a huge gaming collection and we snagged a Vectrex w/ carrying case & 6 games (including a multi-cart) along with 3 lots of Atari stuff that had some excellent items I need for my collection.

#quiltsky #quilting Also had time today to bind these 2 throws. I bought the fabric for these quilt tops at a garage sale last year. They were two gallon bags filled with precut rectangles, and they were a dollar apiece. I couldn't resist. I did my best to use as many of the pieces that I could.

#quiltsjy #quilting I got this quilt back from my longarmer yesterday morning, and got the binding done last night. It's a graduation present, so it was first on my list. I used some of the leftover backing to put a piping on the front binding. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

#quiltsky #quilting Impromptu project for the quilt shop I am working at part time. We finally got a point of sale system, but I did the brunt of the inventory & set up ocer the last 2 weeks. I haven't had time to sew lately, so I made this more for my mental health than for the shop.

#quiltsky #quilting A local quilt shop is closing, so their entire inventory was 55% off. I treated myself too a bunch of new patterns, and a few cute small project kits. This is a 10-in Square Mini quilt. Fussy, but kept me busy. I think it turned out cute.

#quilting #quiltsky I got a free charm pack at a quilt shop event, & decided to try out this baby quilt. I really like it, and I'm proud of myself for not getting too bogged down in making it balanced and orderly. Trying to learn to lean into the chaos. Also got the binding done on an old project.

#quilting #quiltsky Dropping off quilts tomorrow to my longarmer, so I finally finished the borders on this Xmas quilt. Great way to showcase a lot of fun Christmas fabrics!

#quilting #quiltsky Finally got around to trimming this jelly roll quilt and getting the border on. It's going to be a graduation present. It's my first jelly roll project, and I'm not sure that I like the medium, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

#quiltsky #quilting I'm tricking myself into getting some projects done. I REALLY want to bind my dress quilt, but it's a patchwork binding, so I need binding scraps to sew together. I bound 5 small quilts today (2 made from a friend's flannel scraps, and 3 rescued vintage patchwork tops.) Progress!

#quilting #quiltsky I felt motivated today, so I went ahead and finished the quilt top. I am very pleased with the result.

#quilting #quiltsky Spring Break & Easter did not allow me much time for sewing, but this week, I finished the blocks for my book quilt. Cannot wait to see this one all put together.
