🐶 Dogs are more than companions, for older victim-survivors of domestic abuse, dogs can be an important source of support. The Cinnamon Trust cinnamon.org.uk help older people and their pets stay together by providing practical support when temporary accommodation or additional care is needed.

Emergency Alerts are designed to keep us safe. However, for someone experiencing domestic abuse, an alert on a hidden or monitored phone could increase risk. Technology can be used as part of coercive control, including monitoring phones, checking messages, restricting access and tracking location.

☀️ Great to welcome Louise Hughes, Safeguarding Lead at Age Cymru, to Dewis Choice at Aberystwyth University. It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights from our research, exchange ideas, and learn from one another as we continue working to improve outcomes for older people.
