Their national poll rating is 26% – below Labour in 1983 – and Farage’s approval rating is -37. They’re very far from the voice of the people and need to stop being treated as such.

This looks like bullshit stenography to me. Glen Owen also ‘reported’ Farage’s lies about French police & a monoglot mechanic ‘telling him’ his car had been ‘tampered with’ in an ‘assassination attempt’ when he was trying to distract attention from something else. Also, Putin *wants* him to be PM!
Not to excuse this, & it’s a while since I presented anything on the BBC, but I do recall noting an almost subconscious desire to disprove bogus allegations of bias by being particularly tough on Labour & Lib Dems (Ed Davey once complained!) This is another victory for right wing media gaslighting.
